There would be no magic on Senior Night for the Iowa State women’s basketball team.
No. 22 West Virginia beat the Cyclones, 82-57, at Hilton Coliseum on Tuesday night.
The loss is ISU’s fourth in a row and 13th in their last 16 games. The Cyclones finish the regular season 13-16 overall, and 5-13 in the Big 12.
Seanna Johnson scored 21 points and grabbed 14 boards in her return to the team. She missed the last two games after leaving to be with her family after her father had a stroke.
The Mountaineers (23-8, 12-6) outscored ISU 20-8 in the first quarter and led by as many as 26 midway through the third.
