Bill Fennelly recently sat his Iowa State women’s basketball team down for a chat. By the time he was done talking the Cyclones may have wanted to to ensure their dress clothes were clean rather than hit the gym.
“They’re on, we all are, on a two-and-a-half week job interview,” the ISU coach said. “We are going to see how we handle it.”
Five games remain in a year that hasn’t gone how the Cyclones hoped. ISU host Texas Tech tonight (7 p.m., Cyclones.tv).
And it’s the start of what Fennelly is calling an evaluation period to close out the regular season.
