Amid the struggles this season, there are times when the Iowa State training room can be wound pretty tight with stress. Women’s basketball players might come in on edge unknowingly, only to unravel after Emily Durr slips a witty joke or one-liner into casual conversation.
“There’s a lot of truth to that, actually,” point guard Jadda Buckley said with a smile. “She always has a very interesting comment to throw out there. It cracks us up.”
Durr, a sophomore guard, was called the team’s chief comedian by a myriad of players over the course of the year.
