Women’s Basketball: Post defense to face tough test in No. 4 Baylor

A key factor in the Iowa State women’s basketball team’s overtime loss to Oklahoma State on Wednesday was the struggling post defense. The Cowgirls scored 44 points in the paint, including 27 from center Kaylee Jensen, who shot 12-of-16 from the field.

“We knew (Jensen) was a good player,” ISU junior Seanna Johnson said afterwards. “When you’re a good player, you score. I think (true freshman Meredith Burkhall) did a pretty good job on her, but she’s good.”

The Cyclones’ post defense has struggled the last two games, and they don’t get any sort of breather, either.
