Jadda Buckley scored 19 points, but it was not enough for the Iowa State women’s basketball team to overcome No. 6 Texas on Saturday afternoon.
The Longhorns went on a 13-4 run spanning the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth to reclaim the lead and ultimately beat ISU, 65-49.
Texas (21-1, 10-1 Big 12) remains unbeaten in road games this season, while the Cyclones (12-10, 4-7) have now lost six of their last seven games.
Buckley’s total came on 6-of-12 shooting. She and junior guard Seanna Johnson, who scored 16 points, were the only two Cyclones to score in double figures.
