No. 4 Baylor used its size and ability to get to the basket to beat Iowa State women’s basketball 78-41 on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bears (27-1, 14-1 Big 12) scored 50 points in the paint compared to 12 for the Cyclones (13-13, 5-10).
ISU fell behind 17-9 in the first quarter as the Cyclones struggled to score. They shot 23.4 percent in the game.
Seanna Johnson led ISU with 12 points. Meredith Burkhall added 10 points. It was her third straight double digit scoring performance.
Baylor was led by Alexis Jones, who had 18 points and 7 rebounds.
