One other former Iowa State women’s basketball player signed an affidavit that corroborates former point guard Nikki Moody’s allegations in her racial discrimination lawsuit against coach Bill Fennelly, Iowa State University and the state of Iowa, Moody’s lawyer said.
“That’s as far as we’re going with it,” said Nathan Borland, of Fiedler and Timmer, P.L.L.C. and one of Moody’s lawyers in her case. “I can’t tell you who it is. I can tell you it was someone who was there at the same time Nikki was and (witnessed) a specific thing.”
Moody, who played at ISU from 2011-15, filed a lawsuit in Polk County District Court, suing Fennelly, ISU and the state for racial discrimination.
