During the preseason, Bill Fennelly held a meeting with Seanna Johnson and Jadda Buckley. He told them to expect a lot of playing time during the 2015-16 season, which was fine by both Johnson and Buckley.
After 12 games, only three players in the Big 12 Conference have played more than Johnson and Buckley. Both average more than 31 minutes per night for the Iowa State women’s basketball team, which hosts Oklahoma State today at Hilton Coliseum (2 p.m., Cyclones.tv).
“They knew they were going to have to play a lot of minutes,” Fennelly said. “Kids want to play.
