CEDAR FALLS — A happy Bill Fennelly laughs and jokes with his star players after the game. He smiles and talks about giving his team a day off during the postgame meeting with the media.
More than anything, he thoroughly enjoys the moment, and on Wednesday night, Fennelly had a lot to be happy about. The Iowa State women’s basketball team snapped a two-game losing skid with a 84-75 victory over Northern Iowa at the McLeod Center.
“That was a great game,” Fennelly said. “Great game. Both teams played really hard. Really proud of the effort from our team.
