Three members of the Iowa State women’s basketball team were honored by the Big 12 Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Seanna Johnson, Jadda Buckley and Bridget Carleton were awarded postseason accolades by the league after their performances during the 2015-16 season.
Johnson was named an All-Big 12 first-team selection. Carleton was unanimously voted to the conference’s all-freshman team while also receiving All-Big 12 honorable mention accolades along with Buckley.
“You never know how the coaches vote and what they think and what they see,” ISU coach Bill Fennelly said Wednesday ahead of the announcement. “From our standpoint, I think they’ve both been really good all year and I hope they get recognized for that.
