Iowa State’s Bridget Carleton is another step closer toward qualifying for the Canadian National Team.
The freshman guard was selected to compete in exhibition tournaments with Canada’s senior women’s national team in both Spain and France in June. Carleton was one of 12 selected from the 24 invitees to continue on from the phase one tryouts. She was also the youngest selected, and one of just three new additions to the team.
“All of us associated with Iowa State women’s basketball are so proud of Bridget,” ISU coach Bill Fennelly said in a release. “This is a great honor for her and her family and an exciting moment in her basketball career.
