Iowa State’s Bridget Carleton earned yet another weekly Big 12 honor on Monday.
The true freshman guard was named the conference’s freshman of the week after averaging 11 points and 6.5 boards for the Cyclones in their last three games. The honor is Carleton’s third of the season.
Carleton scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in ISU’s overtime loss to Oklahoma State, marking her third-career double-double. For the year, she averages 12.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Those marks lead all Big 12 freshmen.
Monday’s announcement marks the fourth time this season a Cyclone has earned the title freshman of the week.
