Behind a 29-0 run, Iowa State women’s basketball beat Texas Tech 77-48 on Wednesday night.
The run happened during the first half and was started with a three by Nicole ‘Kidd’ Blaskowsky. By the time it ended a six-point deficit became a 23-point advantage for the Cyclones, who led 44-13 at intermission. Texas Tech (11-14, 2-12 Big 12) went 7 minutes without a field goal, converted only four first-half field goals and shot 28.3 percent for the game.
ISU’s Bridget Carleton recorded her sixth double-double of the season. She had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Meredith Burkhall led the Cyclones with 19 points.
