Jadda Buckley, Seanna Johnson and their teammates were arm-in-arm at center court, swaying and smiling and singing along to Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” because, on Friday night, the good times never seemed so good.
The Iowa State women’s basketball team erased an 11-point deficit to comeback and beat No. 23 Iowa, 69-66, in front of 11,373 at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones, winners of three-straight games, are now 10-0 against the Hawkeyes at home under coach Bill Fennelly.
“It was an honor to be at the game (on Thursday night) and feel what was going on,” Fennelly said.
