The Iowa State women’s basketball team announced on Wednesday that two international players have signed letters of intent to play for the Cyclones.
Adriana Camber and Aliyah Konate — from Sweden and Germany, respectively — will play for head coach Bill Fennelly starting in 2016-17. Both Camber and Konate will bring a wealth of international experience to Ames with them.
Camber, a 5-foot-9 forward from Lund, Sweden, played for the Nordic championship national team in 2013 and 2014, where she was named an All-Star. She was also tabbed as a five-star prospect by Blue Star Europe.
Konate, a 6-foot-4 forward/center from Berlin, played in the Youth Olympic Games in 2014 as a member of Germany’s 3-on-3 national team.
