DES MOINES — Four Cyclones scored in double figures, but it was not enough as the Iowa State women’s basketball team lost to Drake, 74-70, on Sunday afternoon at the Knapp Center.
Drake also had four players score in double figures and shot 41.2 percent from the field. The Bulldogs were led by Lizzy Wendell, who scored 16, and Maddy Dean, who scored 10 and added 11 boards.
The Cyclones trailed 36-35 at half, and scored the first six points of the third quarter. Drake responded by scoring nine straight, and ended the frame by making seven of its last nine shots.
