Women’s Basketball: Cyclones roll Braves for fifth-straight win

The Iowa State women’s basketball team rolled to its fifth-straight win with its 91-41 win over Alcorn State on Sunday afternoon.

The Cyclones (7-3) did most of their damage with the long ball, shooting 12-of-28 from the 3-point line. Five ISU players scored in double figures and three contributed at least two treys.

Four different Cyclones led the team with 14 points. Emily Durr and Meredith Burkhall both scored 14 off the bench. Seanna Johnson and Bridget Carleton both contributed 14 as well. Johnson added 10 rebounds for her 21st career double-double.

ISU led 18-12 after the first quarter, only to blow the game open in the second.
