The Iowa State women’s basketball team hung a sign up in the locker room after beating Northern Iowa last Wednesday. It reads “1-0” and served as a reminder for the team to treat December as if it were a new season.
Coach Bill Fennelly said his staff will make alterations to the sign if the team continues to win throughout the month. On Sunday afternoon, shortly after Fennelly met with the media following his team’s 40-point victory, he said the first thing they’d do is change the sign.
The Cyclones dismantled Southern, 86-46, in front of 10,554 at Hilton Coliseum on Sunday.
