The historic confines of Gallagher-Iba Arena haven’t been kind to the Iowa State women’s basketball team. Prior to Wednesday night, the Cyclones had lost four of the last five at the place formerly known as “The Rowdiest Arena in the Country.”
It wasn’t too rowdy on Wednesday night, as just 1,926 were in attendance, but the result was all the same. Oklahoma State topped ISU in overtime, 79-76, an act of revenge after the Cyclones stole the earlier meeting at Hilton Coliseum back on Jan. 2.
Back then, the name of the game was defense, as both teams combined for just 30 total field goals.
