The Iowa State volleyball team learned how much it doesn’t know this weekend.
The Cyclones’ lack of identity was on display in a 3-0 loss to Marquette on Saturday in which they hit .077 as a team.
ISU went 2-1 at the event with a win over Dayton on Friday and a victory against North Dakota earlier Saturday, but hit just .159 in those three matches.
“They were never good, even when we won,” coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said of the team’s attacking stats. “There’s something wrong with our offense.”
Marquette recorded 8.5 blocks as a team while ISU finished with 28 attack errors.
