MADISON, Wis. — On paper, Iowa State and Miami (Fla.) appeared evenly matched.
The Cyclones proved that wasn’t the case on the court by cruising to a 3-0 sweep of the Hurricanes in the first round of the NCAA volleyball tournament Thursday at the University of Wisconsin Field House.
ISU (19-10) will face No. 6 seed Wisconsin at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
“That was just a really steady performance,” Cyclone coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said. “We didn’t get too high. We didn’t get too low. We were just good for a long time and played a high level of ball.
