When you are recruited out of high school to play football at a Division I football program, you probably expect to come in and make a big impact. Well, unless you’re a deep snapper.
Don’t get me wrong, deep snappers are important and can make or break a game. However, you’re probably not going to see the field much except to maybe hold kicks for the starting guy.
That’s exactly what Austin Fischer of Iowa State does. In Saturday’s season-opening loss to rival Iowa, Fischer provided a pretty amazing moment following an extra point try that Cole Netten booted through the uprights.
