Rasir Bolton to return for 2021-2022 season

After arguably the worst season in Iowa State men’s basketball history and amid the looming spectre of a potential coaching change, the Cyclones will at least be able to rally around the return of their leading scorer, Rasir Bolton.

The former Penn State transfer averaged 15.5 points and 3.9 assists per game this past, both a slight uptick from his 14.7 point, 2.8 assist per game averages in 2019-2020. Bolton’s return is encouraging, regardless of who coaches next season. This decision means he either believes Prohm can turn things around next season, or that a new coach will be more successful and help both the team and Rasir, both of which are good outcomes for Iowa State.
