Tigers take second at Nevada Invite
Gilbert placed five runners in the top-20 and took second at the Nevada Cub Cross-Country Invitational on Monday.
The Tigers’ Owen Whitham finished seventh in 17 minutes, 37.33 seconds while teammate Jason Taylor was eighth in 17:37.61.
Host Nevada had Conner MacVey in fifth 17:33.35 and Malichi Hornbuckle sixth in 17:34.65 as the Cubs scored fifth place in the Class A division with 140 points.
Grinnell was the winner with 51 points. Ballard placed eighth with 179 points.
In Class B, Jordan Combes of Colo-NESCO was the winner in 16:51.
