MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — There’s a lot in flux with Iowa State’s recruitment of Tyler Cook, from one coaching change to another that remains only in the abstract but still very much on his mind.
At the forefront is the ever-present speculation about ISU coach Fred Hoiberg and a potential jump to the NBA.
“Obviously, that’s something I’m paying attention to pretty closely,” Cook said Saturday. “I’ll just have to see how things unfold.
“I wouldn’t say difficult (to evaluate ISU), it’s just something you have to keep in the back of your mind. He’s a very talented coach, which is why the NBA wants him and so it’s kind of a hard thing to factor in because you don’t know if he’s going to be there or not.
