Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard flew to Atlanta on May 19 to meet with a search firm, the Ames Tribune has learned.
Pollard missed the ISU tailgate tour stops in Omaha and Sioux City that day, and ISU athletic communications gave no definitive reason. He was then seen arriving at the Des Moines International Airport later that evening. He declined comment to the Ames Tribune at that time as to where he was or what he was doing other than to say he was on an “out of town” trip.
A round-trip plane ticket on that day for Pollard and ISU senior associate athletic director David Harris to Atlanta, home of the Parker Executive Search firm used by ISU to facilitate men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg’s replacement, was obtained Tuesday by the Ames Tribune through an open records request.
