Men’s Basketball: One goal - Cyclones look to topple top ranked Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse

The last time Iowa State saw Kansas, the Jayhawks were off to their worst Big 12 start under coach Bill Self. It appeared their 11-year stranglehold on the league would finally be broken with a strong group of contenders there to take advantage of the Kansas’ struggles.

Five weeks later, the Jayhawks have won 10-straight games and already claimed the Big 12 title outright rendering Saturday’s game against the Cyclones worth little more than bragging rights and Selection Sunday talking points.

“They look locked in since they lost to us,” ISU point guard Monte Morris said. “It’s going to be a tough task down there but we’re going to try to get the job done.
