MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Jameel McKay saga that has enveloped the recent stretch of the Iowa State men’s basketball season took its latest turn Monday. The senior center returned to action in the Cyclones’ 97-87 loss to West Virginia after being benched Saturday.
“We had time between last game and this game for me and him to get on the same page,” ISU coach Steve Prohm said, “and he did that.”
Prohm said after ISU’s win over TCU on Saturday that McKay would play against the Mountaineers after sitting him for what was termed a coach’s decision.
