No. 25 Baylor scored the nine of the final 11 points to pull out a 100-91 over the No. 13 Iowa State men’s basketball team on Tuesday at the Farrell Center in Waco, Texas.
The Cyclones had no answer for Baylor’s Johnathan Motley, who scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
ISU countered with Abdel Nader scoring 26 points. Monte Morris had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Georges Niang scored 24 points and moved past Fred Hoiberg for third on ISU’s all-time scoring list. Niang now has 2,014 career points.
It was a game of runs with both teams swapping the lead throughout.
