CHICAGO – The setting and running mates may have been unfamiliar. Most everything else was classic Georges Niang on Thursday at the NBA draft combine.
There were the team-high 20 points he scored during the scrimmage, in 20 minutes, no less for a player who’s never been shy. There were the five personal fouls he registered. There was also the one-liner, a moment of self-deprecation after a friendly national reporter joked whether Niang had set the combine’s all-time record for shortest vertical leap.
