Iowa State’s Georges Niang was one of 11 finalists named for the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Oscar Robertson Trophy on Monday. The award is annually given to the top men’s basketball player in the country.
Niang leads the Cyclones with 19.4 points per game. He also averages 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest. He will play his final game at Hilton Coliseum when ISU hosts Oklahoma State tonight (6 p.m., ESPNU).
