Iowa State’s Georges Niang and Monte Morris were selected as All-Big 12 first-team performers by The Associated Press, it was announced Monday.
Niang and Morris were joined by Kansas’ Perry Ellis, Texas’ Isaiah Taylor and Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield, the conference player of the year.
It was the second-straight first-team selection for Niang after a senior season in which he averaged 19.4 points per game. Morris, who was picked as a second-teamer by the league’s coaches, is is averaging 14.2 points and 7.1 assists per game.
Bill Self was voted as the league’s coach of the year.
