Men’s Basketball: Nader comes up big for Cyclones in opener

Abdel Nader’s short career has not been defined by consistency. In fact, quite the opposite. He missed his first two ISU games after transferring from Northern Illinois due to an OWI arrest, and muddled through his first five games before erupting for 19 points in a win at Iowa. Then he went five games without scoring in double figures before scoring 19 again against No. 14 West Virginia. It was a pattern that repeated itself throughout his junior season.

That’s what made it so eyebrow raising when new ISU coach Steve Prohm called him the most consistent Cyclone during the off-season.
