Monte Morris is hoping for a miracle. Short of that, he’d just like to be in a little less pain.
The Iowa State point guard is still feeling the impact of a shoulder strain he suffered in a loss at Kansas on March 5. ISU doesn’t seem concerned about his availability for the NCAA tournament first round game against Iona on Thursday (1 p.m., TBS), but it’s clear that Morris will still be hurting.
“It’s not going to be 100 percent,” Morris said. “By the time we play, we’re just trying to get it to a tolerable amount of pain that I can shoot the ball well.
