Even amid a scintillating start, any discussion of moving Deonte Burton into Iowa State’s starting five would appear to be a non-start for Steve Prohm.
“Deonte is obviously going to continue increasing his minutes,” the first-year ISU coach said, “but I’m not really looking at changing anything.”
The 13th-ranked Cyclones (11-2, 0-1 Big 12) certainly aren’t in need of fixing at the moment following a close loss at No. 2 Oklahoma over the weekend, but Burton’s brilliant play since becoming eligible Dec. 19 does make the thought of a change at least interesting.
