It was a night that very easily could be judged as the worst of this young season for the Iowa State men’s basketball team. As the fourth-ranked team in the country in one poll and second in another, the grading curve is plenty steep.
The Cyclones shook off at times uninspiring and sloppy play to eventually throttle Buffalo, 84-63, on Monday night at Hilton Coliseum.
While the final numbers paint a pretty picture for ISU (7-0), the Cyclones were drawing outside the lines for much of the contest before pulling away over the game’s final 13 minutes.
