The fourth-ranked Iowa State men’s basketball team fought through a mostly lackluster performance to defeat Buffalo, XX, on Monday night at Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones (7-0) struggled to find a rhythm throughout most of the night outside of a 15-0 run that lasted just over 2 minutes midway through the second half. Other than that, it was mostly a grind-it-out affair for ISU until the Cyclones were able to pull away for good in the game’s final minutes.
Geroges Niang scored a career-high 31 points while also tying a career high with 12 rebounds.
