Whether Phoenix Suns coach Jeff Hornacek continues to be a candidate to replace Fred Hoiberg as Iowa State men’s basketball coach seems to a bit of a contentious issue.
Wednesday morning CycloneFanatic.com publisher Chris Williams posted a report that ISU recently reached out to Hornacek for an interview but the request was denied as “he had no interest in the job,” Williams wrote, citing a source close to the situation.
Later in the day, Steve Kauffman, Hornacek’s agent, posted in the comments section of the article, writing “I will simply say this story is inaccurate. Jeff loves his alma mater and the facts are simply wrong here.
