Freshman Brady Ernst is transferring from Iowa State men’s basketball team. The athletic department announced Ernst’s decision on Monday afternoon. The Ames Tribune reported of Ernst leaving the Cyclones earlier in the day.
“We wish Brady the best in the future and appreciate his effort last season,” said coach Steve Prohm in a statement. “He worked very hard for our program and I’ve enjoyed having the chance to coach him.”
The 6-foot-9 Clinton native played sparingly early in the season for the Cyclones before deciding to shut down his season to apply for a medical redshirt due to lingering issues from an ACL tear he suffered during his senior season in high school.
