Fresh of its comeback from a 20-point deficit to defeat Iowa, No. 4 Iowa State returned to Hilton Coliseum to defeat Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 78-64 on Sunday.
It was a mostly uninspired performance by the Cyclones (9-0) against the wholly overmatched Golden Lions (2-8), a SWAC program that has yet to play a home game this season and won’t until Jan. 16.
ISU’s defense didn’t do much to contain Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which shot nearly 50 percent from the floor, but the Cyclones had five players score in double figures and shot 12 of 24 from the 3-point line to eventually secure a comfortable victory.
