Iowa State has an altitude adjustment in its future.
The Cyclones leave this morning for Denver, the site of their first-round NCAA men’s basketball tournament matchup against Iona, situated more than 5,000 feet above sea level.
“As quick as we can get out there Tuesday the better,” ISU coach Steve Prohm said Sunday, “so maybe we can even get a workout in Tuesday night and get them adjusted. Tuesday, Wednesday, but Thursday afternoon, these guys should be adjusted and ready to go.”
Prohm got his wish Monday when ISU’s NCAA-coordinated itinerary arrived with a departure time of 9 a.
