The 17th-ranked Iowa State men’s basketball game defeated Kansas State, 80-61, on Saturday afternoon at sold-out Hilton Coliseum.
ISU (20-9, 9-7 Big 12) got 17 rebounds and 14 points from Jameel McKay while Georges Niang had 17 points. Matt Thomas had a game-high 20 points on 5 of 8 shooting from 3-point range.
The Cyclones shot 54.7 percent from the floor for the game and 65.4 percent in the second half. Kansas State shot 40.7 percent on the day.
The Cyclones will have their final home game of the season Monday when Oklahoma State visits Ames on Monday for a 6 p.
