Iowa State played its third game this season without senior Jameel McKay, but the No. 13 Cyclones handled TCU, 92-83, on Saturday evening at Hilton Coliseum.
It wasn’t immediately apparent why McKay, a fifth-year senior, did not appear in the game, though an ISU spokesperson said he was not suspended. McKay served a two-game suspension earlier this month. The 6-foot-9 senior went through warmups and was in uniform for the game Saturday.
Georges Niang scored 27 points for the Cyclones while Deonte Burton added 23 and 14 rebounds. Abdel Nader scored 24 points and Monte Morris had 11 assists.
