Men’s Basketball: Cooke looks to move on from suspension

A late arrival to practice has Iowa State sophomore Hallice Cooke down, but not out.

The guard missed last Saturday’s game at Kansas State due to a suspension due to what he said was a five-minute tardiness to practice, and then he fell out of the rotation for ISU’s win over No. 1 Oklahoma on Monday.

“I’ve just been sticking to the process,” Cooke said, “keep working hard, which is what I’ve known since I was young, just keep working hard and you get the opportunity when it comes.”

ISU coach Steve Prohm last week met with his team and instituted stricter guidelines for player conduct, citing his desire to be himself rather than placate players who were used to a more casual system under former coach Fred Hoiberg.
