Iowa State lost its first home game of the season Saturday, to the only team to beat them at Hilton Coliseum a year ago.
The 13th-ranked Cyclones lost to Baylor, 94-89, to fall to 1-2 in the first week of Big 12 play.
The Cyclones (12-3) led for much of the game, but the Bears (12-3, 2-1) took the lead with under 5 minutes to play and never relinquished it to send ISU to a dispriting loss in its home gym, just the fifth conference loss there in as many seasons.
Jonathan Motley scored 27 points to lead Baylor, which shot 61.
