Men’s Basketball: Aggies stop Cyclones’ streak

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Iowa State’s four-game winning streak has been snapped.

The 14th-ranked Cyclones lost to No. 5 Texas A&M, 72-62, on Saturday afternoon at Reed Arena as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

The Cyclones (16-5) were outscored 16-4 in the final 4 minutes, 30 seconds of the game by the Aggies (18-3). ISU was 4 of 12 from the free-throw line and had 16 turnovers.

Georges Niang had 15 points and six rebounds, but fouled out of the game late for ISU, which faces West Virginia at home on Tuesday.
