Don’t tell running back Mike Warren that Iowa State’s offensive identity runs through its rushing attack. He tries to run away from the conversation like it’s a Kansas defender, even if the Cyclones are coming off consecutive 200-yard rushing games.
“We are pretty much balanced for now,” Warren said. “So I think the running game is still as much of a factor as the passing game.”
ISU’s offense will want to lean on the run against Texas Tech on Saturday (2:30 p.m.). Strong run games played a large role in No. 2 TCU and No. 3 Baylor knocking off the Red Raiders the last two weeks.
