There’s always been a duality to this Iowa State men’s basketball team.
The Cyclones can beat anyone, just see the win over No. 1 Oklahoma. The Cyclones can also stumble at any time, just see the Northern Iowa loss.
The one spot they are consistent is when it isn’t their friend. When ISU drops a single-digit Big 12 game, like at No. 25 Baylor on Tuesday, it’s for the same reason - the defense. The Cyclone are allowing 1.32 points per possession in the final four minutes of regulation and overtime of those games.
