The Cyclone sprinted to their next spring football drill. What they saw was … tight end coach Alex Golesh on the ground next to a football.

Yes. It was for real. Golesh went over the proper technique for covering up a loose football before making the Cyclones do it themselves.

The Matt Campbell era was ushered in on Tuesday. It was the new coach’s first practice and his plan to turn around the Cyclones came through in ball security drills by making sure the little things create a big impact.

“It takes no talent,” Campbell said.
