Mykhailiuk opened this game with three straight threes, and it appeared he would end up a lot more than the six threes that he actually made. Donovan and Lindell helped pace the Cyclones, but the Jayhawks would keep marginally ahead for most of the first half.
At the 9:45 mark of the first half, Lindell Wigginton made a layup to bring the game to a 22-24 deficit, and the Cyclones really couldn’t get over that hump and would go into halftime down 40-37.
The second half started a little better in that Weiler-Babb hit a 3 and to tie and then Lindell following a steal would put the Cyclones up 42-40.
